I have served on the Editorial Board of The Public Historian, the journal of the US National Council on Public History, published by University of California Press and guest-edited a special issue (Aug. 2010) showcasing current professional practice in this developing field in the United Kingdom. In 2008, during Liverpool’s year as European Capital of Culture, we hosted a major international Public History Conference (2008): University of Liverpool, Institute of Historical Research, London, and National Museums Liverpool
